The darker side of me
The song "Darker Side of Me" holds a profound personal significance. It's my raw and honest reflection on how I used to cope with PTSD by escaping into drugs, alcohol, or anything that would shut off my mind. Through this music, I've come to realize that avoidance is not the answer, and I hope it resonates with anyone who has faced similar struggles.
All in all, this is a deeply Spiritual Journey for me. There are things that I cannot explain that have transpired in my life that are beyond my understanding. People such as my loving wife of 24 years, very close friends and my animals that entered into my life for very specific reasons at a time when I needed to be uplifted or saved from my own darkness. The only thing I can attribute this to is that God is real. I have struggled for a very long time spiritually after the war but even though I didn't see it, God was there carrying me thru those dark times all along.
